I am delighted to be able to tell you that Mark now has relocated his bakery to Low Green, Bury Road, Nowton, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP29 5ND
The working bakery is fully equipped and has a range of professional bread ovens, which gives you an unique opportunity to gain experience in peeling your doughs into a professional deck oven; as well as being demonstrated on how to produce first class bread for a home environment. Each class is a maximum of 9 people.
For all classes, we ask you to arrive at 9.45am for a prompt 10.00am start. The sessions run until about 2.30pm. The courses are all hands-on with the students learning about flour and how to knead and shape their bread under the guidance of Mark.
In the Beginners class, you will make a loaf or rolls and learn about the different techniques involved in making other breads such as baguette. You will be given the opportunity to choose from the range of flours available to make your loaf.
In the Advanced class, you learn how to work with sour sough and enriched doughs to make delicious croissants and Danish pastries etc.
The fees for all Mark’s classes include tea and coffee and biscuits on arrival, all the flours used including other ingredients and a sour dough starter in advanced class. Light lunch will be provided.
Purchases of flour and proving baskets will be available. Gift vouchers available by email.
